The tourist guide that answers your visitors

Characters brought to life by artificial intelligence tell the story of your town, your monuments and your museums. Visitors scan a QR code, pick a guide and ask their questions, by text or by voice. Nothing to install, no hardware to deploy.

How it works

Three steps for the visitor, none for your staff

The guide runs in the visitor's phone browser. It is available around the clock, all year long, including off-season and outside opening hours.

They scan a QR code

On a panel, a leaflet, a shop window or from your website. The guide opens straight away, with nothing to download.

They pick a character

Each character embodies a place or a theme, the beaches, the harbour, the castle, the museums or local traditions. A main guide points the visitor in the right direction.

They ask their questions

By text or by voice. The character answers with verified facts, anecdotes and archive pictures, and adapts to the visitor's age and interests.

What a guide contains

A living experience, built on your own content

Characters with personality

A fisherman for the harbour, a woman in traditional headdress for local customs, a monk for the abbey… Each character has a voice, a temperament and a field of expertise.

Sourced answers

The guide relies exclusively on the documents you provide: heritage fact sheets, "Towns of Art and History" files, your website. Sources are quoted in the answers.

Text or voice

Visitors can listen to the answers and talk to the guide, hands-free while they walk, or stay in text mode in quiet places.

Every language

The characters understand and answer in the visitor's language. Full translations of the guide are delivered progressively.

Archive pictures

The character shows the visitor postcards, old maps and photographs of the very place they are standing in, as it used to be.

No app, no hardware

Visitors use their own phone. Nothing for them to install, nothing for you to buy, maintain or recharge.

Transparency about AI

Visitors are told they are talking to an artificial intelligence before their first question, as required by Article 50 of the EU AI Act.

Reliable content

Answers are grounded in your documents and quote their sources. You approve the characters and the content before anything goes live, and keep a permanent right of review.

Personal data

No personal data is required to use a guide. Conversations are not used to train AI models. Fablia is a French company.

A complement, not a replacement

The guide replaces neither your tour guides nor your tourist office. It takes over when they are not available, off-season, in the evening or on remote sites.

Fablia is supported by the UTC Foundation for Innovation and the Pépite student-entrepreneur network, and takes part in the start-up programmes of Modal, Salad and ElevenLabs.

Frequently asked questions

What local authorities ask us

What is an interactive tourist guide?

An alternative to the audio guide and the leaflet. Visitors talk with characters who embody your area and answer their questions in real time, instead of listening to a fixed commentary. They explore at their own pace, in whatever order they like.

How long does it take to launch a guide?

A few weeks on average from the moment we receive your documents.

What do we need to provide?

Your existing content: heritage sheets and files, texts from your website, royalty-free archive pictures. No technical skills are needed.

Can the guide be wrong?

Like any AI system, it can make mistakes. We limit them by restricting its answers to your documents, quoting sources and having you approve the guide before it goes live.

Do visitors need to install an app?

No. The guide opens in the phone's browser, from a QR code or a link. It works on iPhone and Android.

Can we offer a real mystery or treasure hunt?

Yes. The same technology powers the interactive stories on fablia.fr: plots, historical characters, riddles to solve. That is what the Premium plan is for.
